After two years and about 17 computers later the New Prague High School is now combining forces with the New Prague Middle School to offer used computers to students in need. The program is also getting a huge boost of support from the City of New Prague that has donated 9 used computers to the students. If you have an old computer to donate or know of a student in need of a home computer to use for schoolwork click on this link or contact Angie Erickson 758-1214 (high school) or Julie Holgate 758-1412 (middle school) for details.

Minnesota public school funding has been in the news lately. The fact that over 37% of the state's general fund budget is spent on K-12 education ties any state economic woes to public schools. State lawmakers and the Governor are facing a $1.2 billion deficit during this fiscal period and probably a $5-6 billion deficit in the next biennium.

Bad Weather Procedures
School Closings, Late Starts or Early Dismissal.
With winter weather conditions facing us for the next few months, a primary concern will be safe driving conditions for transporting students. With respect and appreciation for the dilemma parents have when weather impacts school attendance times, we must on some occasions make difficult decisions based on the imperfect science of predicting and judging weather. We ask that, except in an emergency, families please not call the school district office because we will need our phone lines open for administrative use.

The New Prague School District Office has added a Drop Box for your convenience. It is located at 410 Central Avenue North (CEC Building) by Door Number 1 facing the East.
Items that can be dropped off there are: K Extra Tuition payments, Insurance Payments, Community Ed registrations and payments, job applications, HR and Payroll paperwork, Family Registrations, etc. No cash, please.
